Long Description

The Sterling Inn is a historic Bed & Breakfast Inn first opened in 1816 as a coach stop on The Old Canada Road in the Upper Kennebec Valley. The area is best known for its whitewater rafting and fantastic snowmobiling. The Inn is one mile south of the Appalachian Trail and has many other great day hikes nearby. Snowshoeing, boating, fishing, swimming, and hunting are other wonderful acitivities available from the Inn. Snowmobilers can access the ITS right from our backyard. The Inn has 17 private bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a large dining room, 2 living rooms and a large wrap around porch for our guests to enjoy. The cozy living rooms have wood stoves and provide a great place for guests to gather for a home-away-from-home feel. Complementary breakfast; free wi-fi, computer facilities, printing and copies; shuttle service; laundry available. We can make arrangements for rafting trips, snowmobile rentals, or catered meals for groups. We accept and ship packages for AT hikers.
