Moxie Outdoor Adventures was started at Lake Moxie Camps in The Forks Maine in1992 by Michelle and Cliff Stevens. The Camps are located on the shores of Lake Moxie and offers lakeside camping platform tents and cabins. They are one of the oldest and renowned sporting camps in the East. Well over a century ago, the camps were hosts to sports from around the globe who would take the train from New York, Hartford and Boston for a summer adventure at Lake Moxie. Still known for its great hunting and fishing, the area is now a mecca for world class white-water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and mountain biking. Moxie Outdoor Adventures carries on the tradition with a dozen exciting river trips in Maine and Massachusetts.Moxie Outdoor Adventures offers daily whitewater rafting fun yaking canoeing and 10 man voyaguer canoe trips. Trips are offered daily from May to October. Adventures range in difficulty from class V to class I mild to wild. No experience is required on most trips.Our Staff is hand-selected because we understand that Moxie Outdoor Adventures must supply the best and safest experience for our guests. This all begins with the guides: their expertise, and confidence on the river, their attitude toward the environment and people, their cooperative spirit and enthusiasm for the adventure of running rivers.In addition to the base camp at Lake Moxie Camps, which services the Kennebec and Dead River trips. Moxie Outdoor Adventures has an outpost on the banks of the Penobscot River and in Massachusetts, we are located in the town of Charlemont minutes from Deerfield River.Weather you are looking for the white-knuckle thrill of rafting the class V Ripogenus Gorge on the Penobscot River or a lazy afternoon fun yak trip with the family on the lower Deerfield River, Moxie Outdoor Adventures has a trip for you.So lets got boating!
