Spring At Its Best

Spring in The Forks Area, Melting ice and spring runoffs make for some wild fun on the Kennebec and Dead Rivers. The trees are budding; the early wildflowers are opening in the woods. April 1 brings the beginning of fishing season, wildlife is prevalent, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing all begin. Many different types of lodging and dining are available locally, from Bed and Breakfasts, to full service Inn’s, to motels and condominiums, to camping at Campgrounds.
