Directions: For our Main Kennebec and Dead River Base in The Forks: Take Interstate 95 to exit 36 (Skowhegan-Fairfield). Continue north on Rt. 201 (57.5 miles) through Skowhegan, Solon and Bingham. Approximately 20 miles after leaving the town of Bingham watch for the flashing moose sign. You are exactly 4.8 miles from Three Rivers Whitewater, “The Home of Serious Fun” and Kelly Brook campground. For our base at the Penobscot north of Millinocket: Take Interstate 95 to Exit 56 (Medway). Follow Route 157 West into Millinocket and follow the signs to Baxter State Park. You will come to the Northwoods Trading Post (last gas station) on your right. 1.3 miles beyond the Post, there will be a sign on the right for Pray’s Big Eddy Campground, take a left onto the Golden Road. Follow this road for 17.8 miles continuing until you reach the campground on the right (check in here for camping at Pray’s). If you are not staying at Pray’s, continue .7 miles and take a right on to the bridge. .3 miles after the bridge, take another right and our base is located .1 miles beyond that. Have a safe trip!
Join our fun and friendly atmosphere for your year round getaway! We offer whitewater rafting and raft trips for all ages, inflatable kayak trips, and overnight trips. We run the Dead Kennebec, Penobscot, and Seboomook Rivers. Let our professional guide staff show you these beautiful rivers, share their history, and find the best playspots out there! All of our river trips include transportation, a paddle, lifejacket, and helmet, a snack, and a hearty BBQ. Most trips also include a slide and/or video presentation. We welcome large groups, corporate trips, youth organizations, and bachelor / bachelorette parties. Other activities in the area include hiking, swimming, and mountain biking. Lodging options include camping, cabin tents, and riverside log cabins with electricity and full bathrooms. Our campground facility has a men's and ladies restroom and showerhouse for your convenience and each camp site or cabin tent has a fire ring and picnic table. Kelley Brook Campground also offers volley ball, horseshoes, basketball, and a large field for other games. Our main base includes The Boatman's Bar & Grill, our retail shop and check in center, and an eight person hot tub. Join us for our nightly bon fires and weekend outdoor entertainment! If your interests include hunting or fishing, we have registered Maine guides on staff to take you to the best spots! Our wintertime fun includes snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. We have snowmobile rentals and access to ITS 87 & ITS 89. Bring your own sled and stay in our cozy log cabins with daily housekeeping.
